Priorities
Highest Academic Standards
High academic standards are my top priority because nothing matters more than ensuring every child in Palos Verdes receives a rigorous, excellent education that prepares them for the future. Parents here rightly expect challenging coursework, strong instruction in reading, writing, and math, and a focus on real critical thinking. I will work to maintain and strengthen that tradition of excellence so every student—regardless of background—has the opportunity to reach their full potential through high achievement. In our classrooms, time must be spent on learning that builds knowledge and skills, not on distractions. Our kids deserve nothing less.
Safe & Respectful Campuses
Parents expect our schools to be safe, orderly places where every child can learn without fear or constant disruption. That means enforcing clear rules consistently, with zero tolerance for hate, bullying, or behavior that undermines the classroom. Kids should be taught how to think — not what to think — in an environment free from political agendas. As a board member, I will insist on real accountability for anyone who disrupts learning or disrespects others. When adults set firm, fair boundaries, students feel secure and can focus on what matters most: getting a strong education.
Fiscal Responsibility & Teacher Support
Our schools need stable, adequate funding to deliver the excellent education Palos Verdes families expect. Sacramento has shortchanged districts like ours for too long, and that must change. As a board member, my priority will be to fight aggressively at the state level for a fair share of funding so we can attract and retain high-quality teachers with the competitive pay they need and deserve to live and work in our community. At the same time, I will demand fiscal responsibility with every local dollar we receive — ensuring funds are spent wisely and go directly to benefit students in the classroom. Strong teachers and smart spending are both essential for our students’ success.
Full Parental Transparency & Involvement
Parents are the first and best advocates for their children. Schools shouldn't hide information or push agendas behind closed doors. I'll insist on full transparency in decision-making, honest reporting on academics and safety, and real parental notification and involvement. The board works for the community—not the other way around. When parents and teachers are partners, students win.
