Jeremy Vanderhal for Palos Verdes School Board

Leadership

Not Politics

Join me in keeping Palos Verdes schools among the best in the State!

“It’s unfortunate that, in today’s overly politicized world, this pledge has become necessary. My only agenda is the success and well-being of every student in our district — nothing else. I’m not here to climb a political ladder; I’m here because I care deeply about our schools, our kids, and our community. Our families deserve to know that the people making the decisions about their children’s education are truly independent and fully committed to the job.”

  1. I will not accept financial contributions from any elected politician, political party, partisan PAC, or political organization—including unions.

  2. If elected, I will serve my full term on the PVPUSD school board and will not run for any other public office while serving.

Jeremy Vanderhal’s Priorities

Advocate. Educate.

“I've spent a lot of time thinking about what the role of the school board should be. It essentially boils down to setting the conditions for students to be successful: providing the resources, support, and stable environment our kids need to thrive, while advocating relentlessly at the state level for a fairer share of state funding dollars to address real challenges like class sizes and program quality in our district.

“In Palos Verdes, that means focusing every decision on student-centered outcomes—prioritizing high-quality instruction and safe learning environments—over distractions or divisive agendas. Achieving this requires transparent, accountable governance that earns and keeps community trust through open processes and data-driven oversight.”

Running a school board campaign to bring fresh, independent, student-focused leadership means going up against well-funded established groups and their networks. It takes significant resources—volunteer time, outreach efforts, mailers, digital ads, signs, and more—to reach voters across our peninsula and make sure our message of accountability and real results for kids gets heard. Your support right now would help level the playing field and give our students the strong representation they deserve.
